We stopped at Hotel Azul for breakfast. All of their dishes were great. I enjoy the Breakfast Azul and Oaxaca Chocolate with agua.

Really enjoyed the rooftop bar, which is open to the public. Chris, the bartender, was both knowledgeable and gracious. He made us feel welcome and is the reason we visited the bar more than once. Great drinks and music. A cool location and a cool experience!

I went to the rooftop bar which is delightful! Nice view of the sunset. My friend stayed here and enjoyed her room.

Definitely one of our favorites places to stay in Oaxaca. I also love to bring the groups on my Design Retreats here. It'a a beautiful space with an artistic twist. The vibes are chill and mellow. They have a little reading library and beautiful courtyard with a water wall. I can't say enough kind things about the staff. Mayra is always wonderful to work with. The front desk and door people are very helpful, professional, and will go out of their way to get what you need done. The restaurant is tasty and the service is great. It's always great to see Sara and the others. The upstairs terraza bar is a great place to chill. The bartender, Cristian, is friendly and makes awesome cocktails. He definitely kept our group hanging around each night for yummy drinks and fun conversation. The beds are so comfy and rooms a decorated uniquely. It's super clean, as the cleaning staff are on top if it when it comes to keeping the place spotless. They have WiFi, good toiletries, soft towels and sheets, and all the other amenities. And if they don't, they'll get it for you. I can't forget the tasty chocolates they leave each day. I definitely recommend this hotel when staying in Oaxaca.

ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE. My girlfriend and I booked a last-minute stay at Azul and had one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had. Ricardo, Orlando, Elizabeth, and the whole team were extremely accommodating, sincere, and helpful with all of our needs. They worked flawlessly to book us tours, answer questions, and provide us with the best Oaxacan experience we could’ve asked for. My girlfriend got food poisoning from a restaurant in town and Ricardo and Elizabeth were literally running to her rescue. Ricardo brought her to a nearby hospital and stayed the whole time until 3am to make sure she was okay. We not only loved the hotel but we made friends with the whole staff and will absolutely be back. Great food, drinks, service, etc etc. Please stay at hotel azul and say hi from Miles and Samantha! Also, side note, everyone speaks great English. Enjoy!

We had a fine stay in a double room as part of a tour. Hotel has a nice courtyard and interior balconies and a rooftop terrace. The courtyard would benefit from more furniture and when it was raining we could have sat on the covered balcony area (or 1st floor) had there been chairs. The rooftop terrace had blaring music, which didn't make in conducive to relaxation. The included breakfast was fine. Hotel was reasonably quiet for sleeping and I'm a light sleeper. Beds were comfortable. Staff were polite. Everything is in walking distance.

Loved my stay at Hotel Azul. The staff are super friendly, helping us plan our trip and even getting a birthday cake for my friend. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, the peaceful courtyard and terrace are great - good breakfast and just the perfect location in the middle of the city center, walking distance from all the central attractions.
